Our Biennial Seminar held in Nashville, TN was a wonderful weekend of learning and camaraderie. Many great reports and positive feedback from our attending members. A space and time to catch up, do a bit of networking and learn throughout the weekend. Despite a heavy rainstorm to begin the weekend, it finished on a wonderful sunny day for the kennel visit at the Hillsboro kennels. Please see our Facebook page if you haven’t already seen the pictures! Thank you to the staff and Masters of the Hillsboro Hunt for hosting us and putting on a wonderful hound display for the awaiting crowd!
There is an additional option for hunt insurance. Insurance agent, Michael Morris of Moore, Clemens & Co., Inc. is a long-time foxhunter and is familiar with the multitude of liability issues which can arise in our sport. Michael has researched and prepared various packages of liability insurance for presentation to our members. Please see our website for the insurance links.
The office was the host for Virginia DMV Connect services which served 135 local members of the community. It was a great turn out, and we are happy to assist with providing this service. They will return to the MFHA HQ in September, date TBD. Next month, we will be holding a Shred Day (document shredding and electronic recycling) for the community. Watch our social media for the date and times!
We are taking a look back in history to our Covertside edition July 1998. That edition included articles about the MFHA Biennial Seminar hosted by Arapahoe Hunt in Denver and how they were surprised with a snowstorm during the kennel tour! Beacons Across the World is in this edition and a great article of Mountain and Muse hounds.
Keep a good eye through the lens this month and send in your hunt photos and stories for inclusion in the MFHA newsletter and for social media. All submissions go to office@mfha.com.
