DESCRIPTION:SPECIAL ADDITION – PROFESSIONAL HUNT STAFF CLASS $1,000 PURSE\n1540 Manakin Rd Manakin Sabot, VA 23103\nSunday October 5, 2025 – Approx. 2:00 P.M.\nIf canceled due to weather, there will NOT be a rain date!\nFree Entry: https://tally.so/r/nGPYep ( https://tally.so/r/nGPYep )\nCalling all Past and Present Professional Hunt Staff to participate in the chance to win a $1,000 purse!\nClass will be held at the end of the DRHC Hunter Trials which starts at 8:30 A.M.\nJudge: Chuck Clement – Goochland, VA\nPhotographer: Bill Sigafoos www.wisphoto.com\nClass Conditions:\nThe Professional Hunt Staff Class will take place at the conclusion of the Deep Run Hunt Club Hunter Trials in the cross country field. Open to past and present Professional Staff.  Traditional hunting tack and equipment needed including hunting horn for a Huntsman and hunt whip for a Whipper-in. Participants may be asked to perform certain tasks associated with the hunting field such as trotting fences, opening gates, cracking whips, etc. To be shown over a modified handy hunter course. Fences at 2.6' – 3'. A purse of $1,000 will be awarded to the winning professional staff member.  A rider/horse may ride for only one hunt. This Professional foxhunter class will be judged on performance, manners, suitability of horse and rider, soundness and uniformity as a team.
