Glenmore seeks Kennel person to care for our 30 – 35 hounds near Mount Solon, Virginia. The position is part time and includes pay, stipends and housing. Will work closely with the MFH and the Huntsman to ensure the pack is turned out and ready to hunt.
• Valid driver’s license
• Driving record suitable for insurance purposes
• Ability to drive truck and trailer comfortably
• Authorized to work in the U.S, must not require immigration sponsorship
Experience with pack animals and hound care
• Flexibility and reliability
• Maintain accurate timecard for payroll
• Ability to prioritize required duties and complete tasks with minimal guidance and oversite
• Strong communication skills
• Phone service provider that has signal at property location
• Willingness to gain animal confidence and trust
• Good references
• Ability to perform general physical activities such as standing, walking, hiking, bending, and/or lifting maximum of 100lbs unassisted
• Preference to property maintenance, landscaping, and repair skills and ability to operate equipment, but no required
Monetary compensation is based on a maximum of 25-hour work week where worked hours are to be spread appropriately across 7 days. Hourly rate commensurate with experience. Starting pay per hour calculated separate but is considered part of the total compensation package which includers housing and other stipends.
