Rolling Rock Hunt is looking for a Huntsman for the 2024/25 season and beyond. We hunt crossbred hounds through sparsely used, hilly, open farmlands and woods. We have great hunting country and we are well foxed and have plenty of coyotes. We are situated in the small, quaint and quiet boro of Ligonier, PA, a special hideaway for those lucky enough to call it home. The Huntsman’s house and attached kennels and stables have character and comfort. Originally built as the jockey barracks and stabling for the historic Rolling Rock Races, they have been converted into comfortable living for horses, hounds and humans. Our focus of late is to bring on a new generation of hunt members. In combination with the Ligonier Valley youth polo program and the Rolling Rock Pony Club we are fostering enthusiasm in hunting as well. Engaging with and encouraging participation from these young riders is an important element in our huntsman’s job description.
