PERFORMANCE TRIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
A performance trial offers a way for foxhunters to gather, measure hound performance, enhance breeding programs and exchange ideas. Every three years, the MFHA sponsors the Performance Trial Grand Championships. PERFORMANCE TRIAL INFORMATION
The MFHA adopted these rules to sanction open and invitational regional performance trials and a national championship. A select number of the best hounds from each sanctioned trial will then be eligible to compete in a national performance trial championship. In addition, any hound competing in a sanctioned performance trial and placed in the top-10 will be eligible to compete in a special performance trial division at MFHA-sanctioned hound shows. The MFHA publishes these rules to encourage the development of performance trials as an important and enjoyable means of measuring hound performance and enhancing hunts’ foxhound breeding programs.
