Full huntsman position. Responsible for care and training of the hounds, Maintenance of Kennels and kennel grounds. Oversees kennel staff under the supervision of one of the Masters. Responsible for clearing and maintaining the country as well as picking up fallen stock from farmers, skinning and disposal of skins. Hounds eat 50+% flesh.
Blue Ridge Hunt – located in Boyce, VA 80+ members, hunt 3 days per week, September – mid-March. Hunt fox and coyote.
Lot of experience as a huntsman. Good knowledge of hunting the fox and the coyote. Experience with old english, english, modern english and crossbred hounds. Good horse skills, good communication and people skills. Willing to get to know the local farmers and landowners. A hard worker. Good health, drivers license, no criminal record. American citizen, green card holder or valid visa necessary. Willing to help with visa if necessary.
