The Piedmont Fox Hounds is seeking a full-time whipper-in for employment beginning May 1st, 2026. Duties include assisting Huntsman with all aspects of hound care and kennel management, territory land management (trail clearing, jump maintenance, etc.), and whipping-in three days a week, August – March.
Piedmont Fox Hounds was established in 1840 and is located in Upperville, Virginia. The hunt hunts three days a week and still hunts only foxes. We are blessed with some of the most beautiful countryside, supportive landowners and enthusiastic subscribers.
Duties include assisting Huntsman with all aspects of hound care and kennel management, territory land management (trail clearing, jump maintenance, etc.), and whipping-in three days a week, August – March.
Benefits include salary, local housing, health insurance, and paid vacation. Horses and vehicles are provided while at work.
