2026-2027:
NMMVH seeks a huntsman for the 2026-2027 season. The position is part-time with twice a week hunting and occasional bye days. Huntsman oversees the kennels, hounds and hunting. While not responsible for territory maintenance nor for grounds outside the kennel, participation in some workday activity is expected. Huntsman oversees the hound showing and performance trials.
NMMVH hunts twice a week with occasional bye-days. We have territory in Frederick and Washington Counties in Maryland and Jefferson and Berkeley Counties in West Virginia and Adams County in Pennsylvania. We maintain fewer than 25 couple kennels in Middletown, Maryland. NMMVH participates in the Virginia Hound Show, occasionally the Bryn Mawr Hound Show and has attended the Maryland Performance Trials.
